Trio head to Park

Nov 10, 2016

Today at Park in Pakenham we have 3 runners. Unfortunately San Amaro and Az Given have to run against each other, but that's just the way things go. You take the opportunity of suitable races as they arise. San Amaro has both galloped and trialled really well. He finished 2nd in his last start at Cranbourne back in August and is in great condition presently. Jamie Mott rides and I feel his style and strength will suit the horse. My only concern is that the distance might just be short of San Amaro's ideal trip.

Az Given also lines up in the race with Ben Allen aboard. A winner over 1600 at Pakenham, the high weight might be of slight concern. She is only a small horse and will be up against the big boys. What she lacks in raw talent however, she makes up for in pure determination and is a real trier.

Rewarding Effort partners up again with Jamie Mott. They have a good record together having clocked up 2 wins and a very close 2nd, only beaten 0.1l at Pakenham on 20th October. Plenty of speed in the race should suit Rewarding Effort and fingers crossed he'll go one better to nab the victory this time.

We have no other runners over the weekend which gives us a chance to enjoy the closing Spring Carnival action at Sandown and look forward to our runners coming up over the Summer months ahead.
