Back to Pak...

Nov 17, 2016

Henry George runs for us in the first race tonight at Racing.Com Park in Pakenham. We are making a bit of a habit of heading to Pakenham on Thursday evenings, but why not when you have such a great new track so close to our Cranbourne base.

The 4-year-old Bel Esprit gelding has had a rough time so far in his career and it has been a long road to get him to the races. He has trialled well and hopefully he brings that form to the races tonight. Jamie Mott takes the ride over the 1000m distance.

Henry George is the 2nd foal of Kirvinsky, a mare I trained alongside Dad. She gave us many great days out and was one of my favourite horses to train. Its great now seeing her progeny flourish.

I had a great day enjoying the sunshine yesterday whilst checking up on the youngsters out on the farm at Bayles. Lots of exciting times ahead with this bunch of foals and yearlings I hope. They are all thriving on the luscious green grass out at Bayles under the watchful eye of the 'retired' trainer.
