Looking for Rewarding Day at Sale
Oct 29, 2017
Another Sunday, another Country Cup Day and we head out east with two runners today on Sale Cup Day.
Many Rewards runs in Race 2 the Pantac Protective Services 3YO Maiden Plate. Over 1400m, it is a step up in distance but the Reward for Effort gelding has trialled well at Cranbourne and deserves his place in the lineup today. Hopefully we will be seeing him show a nice turn off foot towards the end of the race over this longer distance.
Ethan Brown rides and will still be able to take a 1.5kg claim leaving the gelding with a nice weight of 56.5kgs coming out of barrier 1.
Our other runner is Rewarding Effort - another son of Reward for Effort incase the name wasn't enough of a give away. He runs in Race 5 - the Ladbrokes Cash In BM 70 Handicap. Ethan Brown also takes this ride and will again be able to claim a 1.5kg deficit today as the rides were booked prior to Ethan's last victory. Over 1000m, the race is short of the ideal trip for Rewarding Effort, but coming off a break from the track it will ease him back into things nicely.
A very busy day for the team tomorrow with 15 trialling at local jump outs at Cranbourne. We will keep you posted on how that all goes but as for today, we are hoping we will be 'rewarded' for our trip to Sale.
