MARK Zahra earned every cent of his riding percentage after a brilliant ducking and weaving victory aboard Miss Bindi yesterday - but charitable Zahra will not see any of it.
Zahra and Miss Bindi's part-owner Tony Bonjiorno made a pre-race pact to donate their winnings to injured jockey Louise Cooper.
More than $100,000 was raised for Cooper at a charity function at Caulfield a fortnight ago and another $3000 will find its way into the kitty after Miss Bindi's eye-catching win in the Gail Jackson Handicap.
Cooper is in the Austin Hospital following a fall at Edenhope on March 24. She has serious spinal injuries and may never walk again.
Miss Bindi was last approaching the turn, but Zahra hugged the rail before setting out after the leaders, bursting through late to beat fast-closing There's Only One ($8) by 3/4 length.
